Why wait until June to start enjoying your flower garden? Spring-blooming bulbs begin flowering in March and continue right through May. The secret to to getting three months of spring color, is to plant a variety of different types of spring-flowering bulbs.
Start the season with early bloomers like snowdrops and crocus. Early daffodils and scilla flower next, followed by hyacinths and early-blooming tulips. April brings mid-season daffodils, mid-season tulips and muscari. May-flowering bulbs include fritillaria, late-blooming daffodils, late-blooming tulips and alliums.
